6th Grade Beginner Band Lessons

Monday August 17th - Thursday August 21st

 

Beginner Band Camp 2026

 

I am so excited to start Band with your awesome kids! This Summer Band Camp is FREE! This is the best opportunity to set your child up for success in Band. The camp will take place August 17-21st, 2026. Have your student show up at their corresponding instrument time, listed below.

 

9:00-9:45

Flutes

10:00-10:45

Clarinets

11:00-11:45

Saxophones

12:00-12:45

Trumpets

1:00-1:45

French Horn

2:00-2:45

Trombones

3:00-3:45

Tuba/Euphonium

4:00-4:45

Percussion


Materials Needed:

  1. Instrument! (Schmitt Music rentals are ready for students at the school!)
    1. Please have your student bring their instrument for the first day of lessons!
  2. Music book: Tradition of Excellence Book 1 For student’s instrument. 
    1. Ex. Tradition of Excellence Book 1: Bb Clarinet
    2. Schmitt Music rentals come with a book
    3. Book available at all area music stores and on Amazon.
  3. Pencil!

Entering and Exiting the Building:

  • Students should be dropped off and picked up through Door 10, by the Bus lane. From there it is a long, straight walk to the Band room (room 621). There will be signs pointing students in the right direction. Please do your best to be on time as we only have a limited amount of time each day!

Schedule Change for Wednesday, August 21st. Since that Wednesday is the 6th Grade Open House, some of the Afternoon lessons will be changed.
